Westfield's Jekyl & Hyde season continued this evening with a superb 1-0 victory over Seaford Town at the Crouch.

 

Seaford who have a number of games in hand over the leading sides despite there lowly league position would have fancied there chances against a Westies side who had conceded 6 in there previous two games in the defeats against Sidley & East Preston.

 

However they were not to know that a much changed and fully committed Westfield team would be on show tonight, and deservedley edge out the hosts and take home the three points.

 

Matt Dadswell, Lee Wood & Duncan Jones were all ruled out through injury from Saturday's game whilst Lawrence Brand was unavailable, so into the starting line up came Carl Morris, Martin Brain, Richard Saunders and Terry Paine, there was also a place on the bench for Paul Oliver.

 

The only goal of the game came in the first half when a driving run from Andy Garmen allowed him a free run at the Seaford back line and his early shot to keeper Adam Laundon by surprise to the joy of his team mates.

 

The expected Seaford siege did not really materialize after the goal and the Westies defended resolutley and went home with the deserved three points.
