Disappointing Day At The Office For Westies (February 06, 2010)

East Preston went home with all three points in a performance that messers Harris and Jones will want to forget.

The Westies were forced into two changes from the side that had narrowly lost against Sidley the previous Tuesday, David Henham coming in for Graham Morris who has been ruled out for a month and Duncan Jones himself dropped down to the bench with Warren Parsons moving up front and Lee Wood replacing him at the back.

It all looked so good early on and the early good play paid off when a quick counter attack involving Peter Baker and Andy Garman culminating in Parsons cooly slotting home.

Shorlty after taking the lead poor defending from a corner allowed Kevin Clayton and easy chance which he took.

The Westies never really got going in the second half and despite a few chances mostly noteably for Parsons it was East Preston who looked most likely to score the crucial next goal and they did courtesy of sub Jay Huet. It was the same player who also wrapped the game with his second goal of the game.

Not only was there the blow of losing the game there was also the problem of the amount of injuries picked up during the game, the Westies actually had to finish the game with 10 men as Matt Dadswell could not continue, add to that injuries to Lee Wood, Tom Archer and Parsons it promises to be a busy period for physio John Hollnd in the lead up to Tuesday nights game at Seaford Town.

The Reserve team game at Wealden was postponed this morning due to a waterlogged pitch.
