Reserves and Third Teams both chalk up victories (
November 21, 2009)
With the first team not in action until tomorrow (Sunday), the Reserves took centre stage as they travelled the short distance to Bexhill United to take on there Reserves.
The first half was very much one way traffic but Darrol Parris's charges could only come in level at half time, Parris himself cancelling out a Peter Heritage penalty.
The second half was a different story though, Shaun Smith grabbed himself a brace and former Bexhill United forward Dave Carey notched the other as the visitors run out 4-2 winners.
The thirds meanwhile went on a goal spree as they hammered Catsfield 9-4. Among the goal scorers were Michael Burgess, Mark Dowling and Jacob Archer.
As mentioned at the start the first team are in action on Sunday when they take on Wealden with league points at stake. The game is being played at the Pilot Field, home of Hastings United and kick off is 1.30pm, so why not pop along and support the lads.
